Report Topic

What are cryptocurrencies, why are they important and what roles do they play?

In your answer make sure you explain the concept of the blockchain. In preparing your report, choose a cryptocurrency and describe its functions. Start by reading their white paper. For example, you can choose coins such as Ethereum, Vertcoin, Tron, Bitcoincash, etc.

If you choose Bitcoin, please make sure you describe and explain what the Lightning Network is. Your report should be written for a general audience. Avoid jargon and over-technical language. If you use technical language, make sure you explain concepts and provide definitions.

•A4-size page, single-side type written, margin 1 inch each side

•Font style: Times New Roman, size: 12 (except for tables/diagrams)

•Line space 1.5

•Length: 2,500 words (+ or – 250 words). Maximum 15 pages, including cover sheet, graphs, tables, appendix, reference, etc.

•You should have around 15 to 20 references (referencing format: Swinburne Harvard style). Only peer-reviewed references such as journal articles, government reports, business reports, reputed media sources are acceptable.

Brief Guidelines for Writing Assignment- Business Research Report

1.You must follow the given format (including essential sections in order) and submission instructions.

2.Introduction/background: please provide a 1-2 page historical/recent information leading to your study; please specify objectives and scope of your study

3.Source of data/methodology: please mention what type of data (primary or secondary) you used in the study; name a few sources (detail should be in reference section); which methodology did you use? Quantitative or qualitative? Describe this entire section in 1-2 pages.

4.Findings: should be about 4-6 pages. Try to include relevant content only. You should describe them as you go along.

5.Conclusion: please give a 1-2 page summary of your study, and concluding remarks. Do NOT mention anything that does not flow from your findings.

6.References: please follow standard referencing; do NOT mention any references unless you actually quoted/mentioned it in your Report!

7.Be careful about plagiarism; evidence of plagiarism will attract significant penalty.
