3. In an Excel spreadsheet, set up column headings for any two-year data for Segment Performance Evaluation using a targeted companys 10K: Division; Operating Income; Revenue. Input the targeted yearly (e.g. 2018 and 2017) data (use division name abbreviations).  Expand column widths as needed.

To insert formulas, highlight the cell where you want to place the answer.  Then, for example, type in  “=B2/B3” to divide the figure in cell B2 by the figure in cell B3. 9. Use the “Copy” and “Paste” commands to copy the same formulas into the appropriate cell for each division.
10. Use the “%” on the “Number” section of the menu bar to format the Profit Margin as percentages.
11. Add a column graph that compares the Profit Margin of each division.  Add a title and size the graph as needed.  (Only the graph of the Profit Margin is required.   You do NOT need to make graphs of the other ratios.)  Profit margin is defined as operating income divided by total revenue.
